Break the rumor- “recycled foam as harmful to health?

When people mention recycled foam, often, their first reaction is “is this really applicable? Does it do any harm to human body?” These ideas about recycled foam are due to misunderstanding and reluctance of knowledge about recycled foam.

Recycled foam can also be named as compressed foam as the final product is completed by compression techniques, which is a new model of foam processing approach that has already been applied in many western countries. Production of recycled foam often goes through:

- collection of raw materials;

- grating and grinding raw foam/sponge materials

- mixing and adding glue, continue mixing

- steaming under high temperature

- disinfecting under high temperature

- compressing into shape

(Note: raw materials collected are mainly small foam pieces or fragments that left from shaping or cutting and have been assured by official quality inspection. Foam materials that has been used are legally prohibited for recycled foam production)

Compared with normal sponge products, recycled foam has more advantaged characteristics such as high elastic, strong support, anti-deformation, shock absorption, high level of air permeability, etc. Apart from these, production order of recycled foam is adjustable in density, size and shape in terms of customer requirement.
